Workshops and Webinars

Georgia Smart will conduct webinars and workshops to help communities create their projects, write their proposals, and connect with collaborators. All teams that wish to participate in the program must attend at least one workshop or webinar session.


Webinars

Webinars are live-streamed events that include a brief Georgia Smart presentation and a live Q&A. During the Q&A, participants can submit questions to Georgia Smart organizers that will be answered during the webinar.

Workshop and Expo

Georgia Smart held a proposal development workshop and expo on April 9, 2018 at the GTRI Conference Center in Atlanta. Over 140 attendeess received additional program details, attended panel discussions with subject-matter experts, and had an opportunity to network with Georgia Smart staff, Georgia Tech researchers, and Technology Solutions Providers.

Office Hours

This event has been canceled.
Georgia Smart will hold office hours on April 20, 2018 from 10am - 2pm at Georgia Chamber, 1001 Love Ave, Tifton, GA 31794. This will provide communities who cannot travel to Atlanta with another opportunity to interact with Georgia Smart planners and receive assistance and advice on project and proposal issues. Previous Workshops

On July 21, 2017, Georgia Smart and its partners hosted the first Georgia Smart Communities Workshop at the Atlanta Regional Commission. This workshop brought together key stakeholders from throughout Georgia to discuss current smart community trends and challenges. The outcomes from this workshop were used to inform the Georgia Smart Communities Challenge.
