IPaT Welcomes New Assistant Director for Business Operations

We are pleased to announce that Cynthia Moore has joined the Institute for People and Technology (IPaT) as the Assistant Director for Business Operations. Moore has over a decade of experience at Georgia Tech, most recently as director of Institute Diversity’s OMED: Educational Services. She provided oversight and leadership of programs and initiatives that address the academic transition, retention, and academic success of underrepresented students in STEM. Previously, she oversaw various initiatives at OMED, including the Tower Awards, an annual celebration of student diversity and academic success. Moore began her Georgia Tech career in Business Services where she was responsible for administrative and financial management.

Moore will be responsible for ensuring the successful day-to-day management of IPaT’s key capabilities including finance, human resources, space and facilities, and major events.

“We are excited that Cynthia is joining us at IPaT. Her past leadership with student engagement and supporting diversity is well matched to our strategic plan and anticipated areas of growth for IPaT,” said IPaT Executive Director Beth Mynatt.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of such a dynamic team and to support world-class, innovative research at Georgia Tech," said Moore.

Moore has also enjoyed instructing Georgia Tech’s freshman seminar course, GT 1000, and serving for many years as an adjunct professor at Saint Leo University.

She’s a member of Atlanta Diversity Management Advocacy Group and Georgia Association of Colleges and Employees. Moore has earned certificates in diversity leadership, management and supervisory development, and professional management.
